    • Over the last 24 hours, 3 airbases were used to hit the town with over 80 airstrikes, including at least 40 barrel bombs.
    • This is the latest reversal for rebels in the province, after a failed offensive on the Hama Military Airport over the summer.
    • Latmin, southwest of Morek, was also captured.
    • The fall of Morek has large implications for the fighting in Hama and Idlib. Government forces will also be able to encircle the Hama town of al-Lataminah. Morek was originally captured by rebels in February.

  • Coalition airstrikes continued.
    • The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that at least 553 people have been killed by the airstrikes, which have been conducted in the provinces of Aleppo, Idlib, Deir Ez Zor, al-Hasakah, and ar-Raqqa. They admit the actual number is likely far higher due to the extreme secrecy that the Islamic State has imposed about its casualties from the strikes.
