    • The IS, which sent reinforcements from several areas yesterday, launched a new attack on the city from 5 fronts.
    • The IS made a heavy push from the east towards the border crossing, but was pushed back.
    • The IS detonated 2 car bombs in the city.
      • 1 was west of the Security Square and the other was near the Cultural Center, both of which are held by the IS.
      • The YPG is trying to push the IS out of both of these areas.
      • Yesterday some YPG sources claimed the IS had been pushed out of the city. It appears that they still hold 20%-30% of it in the south and east.
    • At least 41 mortar shells were fired by the IS onto the city.
      • At least 6 shells also hit on the Turkish side of the border.
    • Coalition airstrikes targeted IS positions in the east of the city.
    • The YPG advanced in fighting to the west of the city.
    • The FSA-affillaited Dawn of Freedom Brigades announced that they have captured part of the industrial sector of Kobani from the IS:

  • Rebels retreated from parts of western Jobar in Eastern Ghouta.
    • For several weeks the government has been conducting a heavy offensive on Jobar, which is seen as the gateway into the rest of Eastern Ghouta.
