  • Government forces captured Mleha from rebels in Rif Dimashq, which rebels have held for the last year. Around 400 rebels retreated from the city and headed to Jisreen. There have been no reports that I’ve seen on casualties for either side.
    • Mleha is around 7 km from Damascus. It lies on the edge of Eastern Ghouta and on the road to the Damascus International Airport.
    • The Supreme Military Council claimed that rebels are conducting a “tactical redeployment” in order to reinforce defensive lines in the area, most likely east and north of the city.

  • The Syrian air-force began conducting airstrikes on Zabdeen and Jobar east of Mleha.

  • 11 people were killed and 50 were wounded by an airstrike on Deir al-Asafir in Rif Dimashq. 

  • 4 civilians, including a child, were killed by shells that fell on downtown Damascus.

  • The Authenticity and Development Front announced that it is joining the Revolutionary Command Council.

  • The UK will be providing advanced rescue equipment and training for Syrian Civil Defense members.

  • The aftermath of a barrel bomb on Bab al-Nairab, Aleppo: 

  • The Syrian National Council called for immediate US assistance in Aleppo, specifically for TOW missiles, as they are squeezed between government forces and the Islamic State.

  • The Islamic State executed 9 FSA fighters in Ikhtrin, Aleppo province, after they captured the town.

  • Fighting between the Islamic State and rebels is happening in Soran, near Azaz, and also near the village of Ehtimlat.  
    • The Syrian government conducted airstrikes on Azaz.

  • The Islamic State stoned one of its fighters in the al-Bal’om roundabout in al-Mayadin for raping a girl who was displaced from Deir Ez Zor.

  • Heavy fighting in Qalamoun is occurring between rebels and government forces backed by Hezbollah between al-Dmeir and al-Rehaibeh.
    • Fighting is also happening around Nahla and Ras al-Maara.
    • Tuesday rebels captured 2 checkpoints and 4 barracks in Ras al-Maara.

  • Rebels, including the FSA, Jund al-Aqsa, and the Islamic Front captured several positions near the Hama Military Airport, which now puts their front line within 2-3 km of the base.
    •  The villages of al-Sheyha and Arzeh were captured. Rebels also captured arms, ammunition, and two Iranian soldiers.
    • Reports of fighting in the area say that rebels are increasingly facing militias, rather than government troops.

    • The IF claimed to have destroyed a helicopter in the base with Grad rockets.

  • Rebels repelled an attack on Morek by government forces in Hama province, destroying 2 tanks and 2 BMPs, and killing 50 soldiers in the fighting around the city and the Abboud and Ghirbal checkpoints. 

  • The Islamic State captured a checkpoint at the southwestern entrance to the Taqba Airbase in al-Raqqa. 
  • Turkish authorities have begun moving 2,000 Syrian refugees out of the city of Gaziantep to camps, after 3 days of protests by locals who don’t want them there.
    • Tensions rose on Tuesday after a Turkish landlord was stabbed to death by his Syrian tenant. 4 Syrians have been arrested over the murder.
    • 50 Turkish citizens have been arrested during the protests, and a dozen Syrians have been wounded.
