  • Yesterday in al-Raqqa province, the Islamic State executed a woman by stoning for adultery for the second day in a row. This time the execution was in ar-Raqqa.stoned raqqa 7-19-2014

  • The government is continuing its heavy assault to take Morek in Hama province for the fourth day in a row.

  • The number of people killed the other day at the al-Sha’er oil field in Homs province as the IS captured it from government forces has risen to at least 115, including 11 civilians employees. The fate of around 250 people is still unknown. Some unconfirmed reports are being made claiming up o 340 people were killed.
        • The SAA managed to enter the field today as they attempt to re-take it, killing 40 IS members and losing 9 soldiers.

  • Harakat Hazm has demanded that Jabhat al-Nusra leave Idlib and stop fighting other rebel groups, and to go to Aleppo to fight the government.

  • Rebels have been targeting IS sleeper cells and hideouts in Idlib city and its surrounding villages. Around 150 people have also been arrested on charges of cooperating with the IS, forming armed sleeper cells to attack the FSA, and of forming alliances with the IS. Around 400 IS members have fled to al-Raqqa.

  • The IS is actively expelling Kurds and Arab Syrians from areas that they have captured and settling foreigners in their place.

  • Fighting has broken out between government forces and the IS at the Deir Ez Zor military airport.

  • The IS is now in control of around 35% of Syrian territory, including nearly all of Syria’s oil and gas fields.

  • Abu Khalid al-Suri, one of the founders of Ahrar al-Sham, expelled a number of fighters for their support of takfirism.
