  • The Islamic Front killed 6 soldiers and an officer in fighting in al-Sweida in old Aleppo.

  • The situation in the al-Hajar al-Aswad neighborhood of Damascus has reportedly deteriorated the last few days as cases of water-poisoning have spiked. The neighborhood had it’s water cut off by government forces on June 2.

  • The Islamic State took a gas field in the Palmrya region of Hama, killing 90 soldiers and guards and losing 21 fighters, while the fate of the other 270 employees and soldiers at the field is still unknown. The government is conducting airstrikes to try and retake it.

  • There were reports of a chemical attack on Kafr Zita in Hama, a town which has been hit by chlorine bombs from the government in the recent past.kafrzita bb 7-17-2014

  • Another assault was launched by the government to try and take Morek in Hama province, but it was repelled by rebels. The initial ground assault was followed by 15 airstrikes on the town and the number of casualties was reported to be heavy on both sides. Government forces managed to enter the town from the west, but were forced to retreat. The failed assault yesterday resulted in 60 government fighters killed and the loss of 4 tanks, along with at least 16 rebels.

  • 10 people were killed during fighting in Yalda, near Damascus, between the IS and Jaish al-Islam. The fighting began after the IS attacked a Liwaa al-Islam base and arrested Abu Abdul Rahman, the IF leader in southern Damascus. The IS and IF agreed to a truce later in the day which resulted in the IS releasing the prisoners it had taken and leaving its bases in southern Damascus after more rebel groups began to mobilize against them.

  • The Qamishli region in Syrian Kurdistan, the largest of the three provinces, has passed a law requiring 6 months of “self-defense” duty by all adult males.

  • Hezbollah and government fighters killed during an attack on rebels on Turkman mountain in Latakia:

  • The IS detained 4 commanders of Islamic battalions in Deir Ez Zor city as well as 11 fighters that they found hiding in various houses.

  • The IS stoned a woman to death in al-Tabaqa, ar-Raqqa, for having sex with another man while still married.

    The us or any other country shouldn’t get involved with All nusra front(& Isis is so bad that we have to get involved with All nusra then that’s terrible!!!
